Thank you for stopping by! We are a natural-minded, Charlotte Mason inspired homeschooling family living in Colorado. We hope that this site serves as a way to share our imperfect journey in homeschooling and Holistic Hearted Mama's (Keri) ongoing herbal and holistic health education (which Holistic Hearted Papa jokes is never ending) . Visit the blog to learn alongside of us and hopefully be encouraged through the process.
Another lifetime ago, Keri was a high school English teacher who was also interested in all things health. She completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2009 and later that year attended a weekend Ayurvedic Workshop and fell in love with that natural medicine system. So, she quit her day job to pursue an education in Ayurveda. She completed 545 hours at California College of Ayurveda, is a graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a graduate of the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine's Herbal Medicine Making Program, completed One Willow Apothecary's Intuitive Plant Medicine, and is a student of Dr.Aviva Romm's Herbal Medicine for Women Program. She loves learning and sharing about food as medicine, herbal remedies, yoga, mindful eating, and stress relieving techniques. You can learn along with her on the blog, or support her work by purchasing e-guides in the shop. She appreciates your willingness to embrace health.
We' have been home preschooling for the last 3 years, and this year (2019), we will embark on our homeschool journey of Kinder & Preschool. We are largely inspired by the natural world, by Charlotte Mason, by the Waldorf tradition, and try to make intentional reading and kindness a part of our weekly rhythm. Some weeks, we seem to dance to the rhythm we've created beautifully, and others we're stumbling to find the beat. We'll share what has helped us, and stories you can hopefully use to avoid our mis-steps. And if there is interest, we may share some curriculum bundles or planning e-guides in the shop as well.
Keri is currently still available for limited health coaching sessions and can work via phone/skype/messenger. Email to schedule a session:
